The Covenant Board of Trustees is committed to drawing on the advice of experts in the field of Christian classical education. We are grateful that these experts have generously volunteered their time to serve together as Covenant’s Advisory Board.
Mr. Baur serves as the Head of School at Faith Christian School, a classical Christian school in Roanoke, VA. He has been professionally involved in the field of education for over thirty years serving in nearly every capacity of independent schools. He is known for his work with schools in strategic planning and in his ability to articulate the power and simplicity of a classical and Christian education. He has presented at national conferences including the Association of Classical Christian Schools and the CiRCE Institute. His speaking has taken him to schools in California, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Mr. Baur received his BA in Business and Economics from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, and he and his wife Lois live in Roanoke.
Mr. Marshall is Founder and President of Coram Deo Academy, and President of the Marshall Education Group which provides innovative solutions to Christian schools. Recently named an Arete Fellow with the Institute for Classical Schools, he is also a member of the Society for Classical Learning. Mr. Marshall earned a B.A. in Business Administration, M. Div., M.A. and has completed the coursework for a Doctor of Education. He contributes as a newspaper columnist, and essayist for educational and theological periodicals in local and nationally circulated publications.
Dr. Perrin* is the publisher with Classical Academic Press, writer of the Inside Classical Education blog, a consultant to classical Christian schools and the Director of School Development with the Classical School Foundation. He has taught at Messiah College and Chesapeake Theological Seminary and served as headmaster of Covenant Christian Academy in Harrisburg, PA from its founding in 1997 until 2007. He received his B.A. in history from the University of South Carolina, his M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary in California and his Ph.D. in Apologetics from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He was also a special student in literature at St. Johns College in Annapolis. Dr. Perrin is the author of the books An Introduction to Classical Education: A Guide for Parents, The Greek Alphabet Code Cracker, Greek for Children, and co-author of the Latin for Children series published by Classical Academic Press. He and his wife Christine live in Camp Hill, PA with their three children Zoe, Noelle and Noah.
